It is a common misery among woodworkers that will express that they have spent 6 months building a piece and in one hour it is ruined from a bad finishing attempt.
I offer my finishing skills to woodworkers who have slaved over their piece and are paralyzed with the thought of finishing it.

Most woodworkers, after spending hours upon hours building something, tell me that they are relieved that it can get handed over to be finished. Usually they've run out of energy to spend even one more minute on the piece!  .

The disparity between the old and new technique is astonishing.

I also have more traditional pieces that come in for the Old World finishes such as classic shellac and polish.

My latest client is a rock star in the world of woodworkers,
Kent Townsend

Kent Townsend

Kent builds exquisite pieces out of ebony, amboyna burl, and other exotics. His work demands the highest art of finish in the new world - the high gloss piano finish.

If you have such a piece, contact me for a discussion of coating choices, color, and more.
